If I am unsuccessful during the 1 month trial period, will I still receive pay?

Yes, and if I may say so, I can't imagine there'd be any reason you wouldn't pass the trial period. Everybody did this year, and last year. You'd have to go out of your way (showing movies all class, every class, let's say) to not pass.
