Hi there,
If you've any questions about teaching in Zhengzhou, I'd be happy to answer them... or try, at least. I've been teaching at a private university in the city for a year now, with friends who've been here longer.
I'm sure we can answer most questions you have...

I'm trying to get some part-time jobs while Im here visiting family. Do you absolutely need a certificate to teach? What are some average rates? For example, private tutoring session (i think its called VIP here, one-on-one stuff), language classes, at a university, in schools..etc Thanks, any kind of information would be great

To teach in a school or a university full time, you'll absolutely need a certificate and the right type of visa. That being said, I've known people do extra work private tutoring, language classes for businesses' employees etc. but they had to keep that low-profile as it was against the rules of their visas and contracts. People do get caught.
Check the terms of your visa; is working prohibited?
